Fasting, The Lost Health Secret

Fasting elevates our minds,  bodies and spirits and has been a traditional method to enhance healing that dates back to early civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt.

There is so much dogma and fear around the idea of fasting but shouldn’t it be something to be considered as an essential part of healing and optimum well-being?

In a culture in which it’s customary to eat three large meals a day while snacking from morning to midnight, the idea of regularly skipping meals may sound extreme. But in recent years intermittent fasting has been gaining popular attention and scientific endorsement.

Humans have actually been fasting throughout evolution. Sometimes it was done because food was not available, and it has also been a part of most major religions, including Islam, Christianity and Buddhism.

Most people Fast every night without even realizing, that is why the first meal we eat after waking is called  BREAK-FAST. Break the FAST. Rest is essential for our bodies ability to heal its self.

To some extent eating does give us energy but it also takes energy to  digest food. So when your body is so ill with disease or cancer its better to let your system rest and focus on healing.

Believe it or not, the less you eat the longer you will live. Studies have shown how the lifespan of people in certain cultures increased due to their diets. One of the primary effects of ageing is a slower metabolism, the younger your body is, the faster and more efficient your metabolism. The less you eat, the less toll it takes on your digestive system

3 Reasons Why Fasting is Essential

1) Your Body Needs To Rest

Fasting gives your digestive system a rest, and this can energize your metabolism to burn through calories more efficiently. If your digestion is poor, this can effect your ability to metabolize food and burn fat. Intermittent fasts can regulate your digestion and promote healthy bowel function, thus improving your metabolic function.

In the fasting state, the body scours for dead cells, damaged tissues, fatty deposits, tumors and abscesses, all of which are burned for fuel or expelled as waste. Diseased cells are dissolved in a systematic manner, leaving healthy tissue. The result is thorough the cleansing of the tubes, membranes and cellular structures. Ingestion of mucus-forming foods clogs the body’s microscopic tubes and membranes, all of which are the highways used by the immune system. Fasting dissolves this internal mucus. During a fast it is common for the nose, throat and ears to pass sticky mucus, clogging the sinuses. Strands of mucus may be found in the stool after the first bowel movement. There is a remarkable redistribution of nutrients in the fasting body. It hangs on to precious minerals and vitamins while metabolizing on old tissue, toxins and inferior materials.

Fasting intensifies healing as deep tissue and tired organs are repaired rapidly. To heal illness the body must pull all of its resources toward cleansing and repairing by removing appetite and reducing or stopping digestion. Wounded animals will fast, emerging to eat only after their injury or broken bones have healed. There are testimonies of people’s old wounds aching during a fast for the first time in years; unnecessary scare tissue is being broken down as fuel. This is the reason why there is little desire to eat food when sick—the body wants to focus all of its resources on healing

2) Inner Peace

Fasting allows you to take a break from the worries of eating so you can send your mental intention inward and reflect on self. Creating a space for us, taking our attention inward, so we can listen and become quiet. Improving our mental clarity and focus, Fasting leads us to greater freedom, flexibility, and energy to get done the things that are important to you. That quiet quality time, you with you, will also manifest, if you are willing, a greater sense of kinship with your Inner Being. Which in return elevates the stillness in knowing your own inner peace.

3) Connecting To Spirit

Religions have been practicing Fasting since the beginning of mankind. It is when we stop searching without and start looking within that we find the answers we have been seeking. Fasting as a method to connect to Spirit is not a secret, in fact it is probably more of the popular reasons people fast. Although in this modern age, how often is it you hear of someone doing a water fast? I’m sure if you told someone you were partaking in a Liquid Fast you would receive some type of lecture that your doing more harm than good… from a person that has done little research on the topic. We have been mislead that we NEED to eat to live.

During a fast, you deliberately let go of that which binds you to this physical world–food–in order to receive all your sustenance from the spiritual world. You determine that for a period of time you will deny your physical cravings to focus on your spiritual cravings. You allow your spiritual hunger to become stronger and more focused. You feed your spirit with the same enthusiasm with which you feed your body. Spiritual hunger takes priority over physical hunger.

What Is The Universe?

The earth is my church, the sun is my savior, the moon is my mother, and tidal waves are my god. Circumstances that constantly make me question why are we here, where are we going, and how things came into being.

What is the universe? Is it a poem that writes itself? Is it a song that sings itself into being? Does our universe have no origin and no end?

In an infinite fractal of rotation, how do you define the center? Every point is the center. You are the center of the universe observing the universe from your very own center. Wherever you pick a point of observation in the fractal, that point becomes the center from which you’re observing the universe. That point becomes stillness. Why stillness? Because in that point now, all the spins of the universe cancel out.… You need stillness to have a frame of reference for rotation… And that’s how singularity occurs. Singularity is the point at the center of your experience of the universe, that is the point of stillness from which you’re observing the universe.”

-Nassim Haramein

Earth has its own electromagnetic generation, just like the human body. Research has found that a direct current of electricity flows through perineural cells found around every nerve in the body. These pathways are called energy meridians and have been used in the practice of acupuncture for at least 2000 years. Dating even father back is the notion of dragon paths or lay lines in which many megalithic structures and stone monuments were erected marking the energy meridians of the Earth. These energy meridians are generated by the resonant frequencies of the Earth, called the Schumann waves. Each planetary body has its own resonant frequencies and is determined by the circumference and diameter as well as the speed of orbit and rotation. The Earth’s resonant frequency starts at 7.83 Hz and ends with the 7th harmonic at 43.2 Hz, correlating with the Seven chakras. Ultimately the greatest discovery of our Earth is its consciousness. A visible attribute of consciousness is an energetic field that governs the saping of organisms. Morphogenesis is a scientific term to explain this very shaping of tissues, organs, and entire organisms. Consciousness is the creative force of the entire universe. It has been given many names such as God, Yahweh, Krishna, nature, the field, and divinity. The entire universe is in fact a single living conscious organism with complete awareness of itself. The reason it may seem difficult to comprehend this is because our understanding it typically limited by our language.

“Our true nature is the pure conscious intelligence of Spirit. Over the centuries the collective mind of man has been programmed with limiting fear based beliefs and teachings. These beliefs and teachings have resulted in behavior in the human psyche that has shut down mans true and authentic nature resulting in disconnection from his Soul’s intelligent guidance.”

Surrendering Resistance

The illusion of sadness, pain, and suffering was created by your deeply confused and conflicted mind as you live life inauthentic, denying your truth/life passions for money and ego- silencing your intuition because of fear.

Compressing your light and love has created blocks of energy, stagnate energy, unable to flow freely. Resulting in illness within- then manifesting into physical reality.

This sickness of depression makes you strive for answers to cure your bleeding heart, the emptiness that dwells within the lacking of self love and completion of yourself. Alluding to an endless journey of misery and self destruction tangled in brief moments of satisfaction which is the only serenity your brain connects with, never feeling completely total.

Most people do not realize true and utter ecstasy because they have yet to remember the experience of expansion, since we have been living in a period of illusion the ego has created. The grey area of this era is slowly fading, transforming and cascading into brilliant white light of infinite energy.

Free yourself to the essence of all that is and flow with the waves of revolution. These changes have been taking place before you were “born” and will continue after your “death”. This is/has been happening in all dimensions of observation at once ( since there is only one ever lasting moment of now ) but since we are made out of matter our “time” and perception see, feel, and experience metamorphosis/evolution much differently then higher realities and entities.

It is because of this process we can grow, renew, and evolve. It is the true magic of fully understanding what is needed for each and everyone of us right now to expand our intelligence and consciousness… let this be THE day to stop focusing of the past or future and start looking at the entire picture as a whole… As a constant movement of right now. With the positive, negative, and neutral being a beautiful and special part of the collective, acting as a symbiotic technique of divine guidance.

Surrendering your resistance to the powers of the unknown, embracing nature, fate, and the cosmos so love can transmute the vibrations of the earth into the unexpected!

Precious Moments

Some things in life are simple and come without thought like the inhale of your breathe or the beat of your heart. While other things require conscious effort and practice to achieve over time. So why is it that one of the most complex and beautiful things in our known universe is done with only one conscious thought?

The creation of another human being only takes that one intention of conception to conceive a whole new life form in less than a year. Which is not much time at all compared to the vastness of the cosmos. The expansion of another multi celled living organism continues inside of you whether you are aware of it or not. It does not take your body any intention to preform the magic of creation. That life inside of you knows exactly how many times to divide in just the right amount of time with no help from your mind. The blueprints are sketched into our genes, they know how to achieve the unknown process of creation, life itself.

Yet, once they are born into the world they no longer have that quality of knowing what to do. It is like birth destroys that inner knowing and it is our job to teach them how to survive, how to find discover that connection once again. Maybe, it is the connection to their mother that allows them to have the consciousness and ability to crart-of-birth-babyeate themselves and with the cut of the umbilical cord they lose that connection.

Harmony Within Reiki

Reiki Healing has been around since the dawn of creation, yet it has been forgotten in the mist of our current age. Thankfully, Reiki is becoming more mainstream because of its stellar healing abilities. The word “reiki” is translated from the Japanese words: rei (universal) and ki (life energy). Reiki activates the natural healing processes, which exist within all life. Earthling’s here on our planet are experiencing energy and life force in every moment but sometimes even energy can become stagnant, blocked or overactive depending on our environments, actions and thoughts. Reiki Masters understand this concept and are attuned to source energy so they can step away from their physical mind and body to create a vessel, a channel if you will, to allow energy to move freely and effortlessly through earth, ourselves and source. This ancient knowledge harnesses our inherent power of source to heal and empower us into aliment and harmony with our highest well being. reiki-master-healed-by-the-light-slideshow-3

Energy Healing is something that has been absent in the modern American century of technology and distraction. We are stuck in our minds disconnected from our bodies and spirits, lost wandering around worried about the past or future. Reiki brings back awareness into our bodies and minds so we can be mindful of the present moment. Although Reiki is extremely beneficial for a number of things it is not an end all answer to illness and ailments. If disease has manifested into your body there has been an imbalance of elements for quite some time and a large amount of factors play a role in your healing process. Having said that, Reiki is always beneficial as it typically makes the situation less stressful and allows healing to start taking place. Alternate Medicines such as Reiki are being combined with traditional methods to enhance the techniques and treatments to provide a more natural and speedy recovery.3212797_orig

Integrating Reiki into your life doesn’t mean you have to become a Reiki Master or dedicate your whole life to this practice. All it takes is a little intention, trust and reception to source to learn how to tune in. Adding sound healing, hypnotherapy, nutrition and many other modalities to Reiki also elevate sessions.    People practice Reiki all the time and not even realize it, like when a child gets hurts and seeks his mother to kiss the wound.  Try bringing Reiki ener1fb0a481aeb39309c96af5ca5e506a83gy into your reality by doing this exercise;   bring your hands into “Namaste” position at the heart and bow gently. Silently ask for the Reiki to Flow into and through you.

Waves of Creation, Birth Without Fear

Hypnobirthing embraces giving birth peacefully in an extraordinarily beautiful manner just as energy effortlessly transcends our earth into an vast array of living entities. How is it that one of the most beautiful things in our known reality is grown into reality with only one conscious motion?

Birth only takes one initial intention of conception to conceive a whole new life form. The expansion of another multi celled living organism continues inside of you whether you are aware of it or not. It does not take your conscious mind any thought to preform the magic of creation that unfolds over the 280 days of propagation.10403023_905529112808860_473200596699094590_n That essence inside knows exactly how many times to divide in just the right amount of time with no help from your mind. The blueprints are sketched into our genes, they have been written on sunflowers and encoded in all life. This movement of consciousness has been creating since the beginning of the expansion of our universe.

Our mother Gaia has been singing her birth song gently, moving slowly and manifesting all creation, plants and animals, oceans and forests. Creation is embedded into our being, it is something our bodies understand physiologically that unfolds naturally. This inherit power of birth can be utilized with the help of Hypnobirthing. It allows you to over come fear, tension and stress before, during and after birthing. Which often eliminates the need for chemical painkillers and shortens the first stage of labor.

tumblr_md1lod3yh01qghwn1o1_1280 Instinctively we know what to do when giving birth, just as a women’s heart knows how and when to pump. Her lungs to inhale and her hand to pull back from fire, she knows when and how to give birth. “300,000 mothers will be giving birth today, time becomes frozen as women by women, birth by birth. They are all connected through their bodies and songs. It knows no boundaries, no color, no races. It fills all their bodies, their hearts, souls and faces. The sounds of each women as she sings the birth song.” Hypnotherapy brings this song to life because it takes your doubts and throws them out with each breathe.

The greatest secret of life is the law of attraction. Once you understand this, anything you want can be yours. What does that mean? Your current thoughts are affecting your future life. What you think about or focus on will appear.

This principle is found in the writings of great philosophers, poets, authors and thinkers through the ages. It is found in all religions and civilizations throughout the world. Like attracts like. The principles hold true in both physics and psychology.

How does this affect birth? To get the birth and life you want you need to start focusing on what you desire. Self-hypnosis may release emotions tied to fear-based stories and misinformation about labor and birthing. This freedom grants you the vision to view natural childbirth as normal and healthy. Letting go of your fears, doubts and pessimistic thinking. Embracing what you want. Focus on it to the exclusion of all else and it will come to you.

Add More Raw Foods into Your Reality

Benefits of Raw Fruits & Veggies

  • Increased energy
  • Clearer skin
  • Weight loss
  • Reduced risk of disease
  • Balance Hormones
  • More nurtirents

The raw food diet contains fewer trans fats and saturated fat than the typical Western diet. It is also low in sodium and sugar and high in potassium, magnesium, folate, fiber, vitamin A, phytonutrients and health-promoting antioxidants. These properties are associated with a reduced risk of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. For example, a study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that consumption of a raw food diet lowered plasma total cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations.

Intolleranze-alimentari In integrated medicine, the raw food diet is said to have a favorable acid-alkaline balance, being low in acid-forming food. Too much acidity in the body is said to promote disease.

Some proponents of the diet suggest that it may reduce inflammation because it contains fewer advanced glycation end-products and other compounds.

3 Ways to Add more Raw foods into your Diet

1. Drink smoothies for breakfast.

13161894_10154154584567328_608853682227061206_oI’m not a morning person. My idea of making breakfast is taking my credit card out and swiping it at the juice place around the corner from my work every morning. If I’m going to make a healthy breakfast myself, it’s going to be a smoothie, because smoothies are a quick, easy, and delicious way to make sure you’re starting off your day with an abundance of plant power.

2. Buy fruit in bulk, and keep some with you.

It’s almost embarrassing how I carry citrus fruits in my purse in the same way that my grandma carried around Sweet’n Low. Our bodies crave sugar, and if we’re not prepared we’re likely to grab junk. Throw some fruit in your bag (or a banana in your pocket for a great conversation starter) to avoid reaching for crap when you start to feel hungry.

3. Make massive dinner salads.

I’ve been blessed with the superpower of being able to eat mass quantities of food. If you’re human, I’m guessing you share my talent. It’s impressive, really, and it can be used for good (despite what you may think). I love making a massive, ridiculously overloaded raw salad every night. Think jumbo-sized-popcorn-for-an-extra-fifty-cents-sized salad. Lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, avocado, zucchini, seeds, whatever… throw it in all there. It’s one of the best things you can give yourself. Eating an abundance of vegetables is going to satisfy you, and will give you the nutrients your body so deeply craves.

Hormones on the fritz?

First I would love to share this free Hormone Balance Quiz (I would always suggest getting professional help with the proper blood tests to find out exactly but sometimes we need a quick answer to ease our mind so make sure to cross reference your results with other resources)

Some other signs include Cravings,Sweating,Digestion problems, Insomnia and poor sleep patterns, Anxiety, irritability and depression, Low libido,
Persistent weight gain, Belly fat and loss of muscle mass.

There are many different types of hormones in the body, which all have different functions, but While hormones are naturally fluctuating, problems start to occur when the fluctuations go out of balance …. this can cause a lot of symptoms in both your body and your mind and are all influenced by each other.
Diet and stress is one of the biggest causes of hormonal imbalance.

I’ve researched a few ways to help restore your bodies natural ability to balance your hormones.

Supplement with these top Ten Adaptogen Herbs

Adaptogen herbs are a unique class of healing plants that promote hormone balance and protection the body from a wide variety of diseases, including those caused by excess stress. In addition to boosting immune function and combating stress, research shoss-rhodiola2ws that various adapotogens — such as ashwagandha, medicinal mushrooms, rhodiola and holy basil — can:

  • Improve thyroid function (3)
  • Lower cholesterol naturally
  • Reduce anxiety and depression (4)
  • Reduce brain cell degeneration
  • Stabilize blood sugar and insulin levels (5)
  • Support adrenal gland functions (6)

Eat foods that balance because you are what you eat.

Ditch The Dairy

Ditching the dairy is important for Your Hormones because ALL cows that produce milk are pregnant, organically raised, fed, etc. or not. It makes no difference that their milk doesn’t have added hormones considering that alone, cow’s milk contains over 60 different hormones without anything being added to it. Now, while all of us have different hormone situations going on, there is no logical research that says we need to take in added hormones from another mammal.

Walk in nature

To balance your hormones, you must address your exercise habits. Chronic cardio – jogging, running, spinning classes and even Crostumblr_oan2hav4yt1sxexsro1_500s Fit – places undue stress on your body. Prolonged periods of cardio creates free radical damage and spikes stress hormones. Chronic cardio so impairs balan
ced hormones that those with adrenal fatigue should avoid cardio for a full month.
Walking in nature, on the other hand, provides a restorative yet invigorating exercise ideal for balancing hormones. As a matter of fact, walking in nature has been shown to reduce cortisol levels (a stress hormone) and boost the immune system (3). High cortisol levels create inflammation and perpetuate hormonal imbalance, so reducing cortisol is good news!

Walking also stimulates the lymphatic system to help flush toxins from the body and works a wide range of muscles without undue stress on the body.

Eliminate Toxic Kitchen, Beauty and Body Care Products
Another way to eliminate toxins in your body is to avoid conventional body care products that are made with potentially-harmful chemicals including DEA, parabens, propylene glycol and sodium lauryl sulfate. A better alternative is to use natural products made with ingredients like essential oils, coconut oil, shea butter and castor oil. The Environmental Working Group evaluated over 72,000 products and ranked them in an easy-to-understand guide to make sure you have a resource to keep your family safe. Check out EWG’s “Skin Deep Cosmetic Database” today for recommendations for which products to use and avoid.

Another thing to consider is your use of plastic bottles, aluminum cans and containers. It’s best to replace plastic and aluminum with glass and stainless steel because of the toxic effects of BPA. Another wise precaution is to switch from teflon pans to stainless steel, ceramic or cast iron, which can make a big difference in the amount of chemicals making their way into the food you prepare.

Reduce Stress & Get More Sleep

Unless you get 7-8 hours of sleep every night, you’re doing your body no favors. A Lack of sleep or disturbing your natural circadian rhythm can be one of the worst habits contributing to a hormone imbalance. How so? Because your hormones work on a schedule! Case in point: Cortisol, the primary “stress hormone”, is regulated at midnight. Therefore, people who go to bed late never truly get a break from their sympathetic flight/fight stress response.

A lack of sleep, long-term use of corticosteroids and chronic stress are three of the biggest contributors to high cortisol levels. A report published in the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism stated that “Stress can lead to changes in the serum level of many hormones including glucocorticoids, catecholamines, growth hormone and prolactin”. (11)

Sleep helps keep stress hormones balanced, builds energy and allows the body to recover properly. Excessive stress and poor sleep are linked with higher levels of morning cortisol, decreased immunity, trouble with work performance, and a higher susceptibility to anxiety, weight gain and depression. To maximize hormone function, ideally try to get to bed by 10 p.m and stick with a regular sleep-wake-cycle as much as possible.

The recommendation is to use half of the bunch of kale for this recipe and then save the rest for a Black and Blue Green Smoothie (on page 12) or for juicing or another recipe.

**Toasting Sunflower Seeds To toast the sunflower seeds heat a little bit of coconut oil or olive oil in a small pan over medium-low heat. Add the seeds and toast for a few minutes until they are nicely browned. Remove from heat immediately and set aside. This recipe is also good with toasted pumpkin seeds.

The beans will expand as they soak. Soak overnight before you go to bed and you can leave them in the water during the day. This is really important because it helps reduce cooking time and it also helps significantly with digestion.

2. To Prepare the Beans: Drain the beans in a colander and rinse with water. Put the beans in a large pot and cover with chicken broth. Add in the onion, garlic cumin and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a gentle simmer. You’ll need to let them cook for at least an hour (it would be 2 ½ without the soaking).

3. Stir the pot periodically in that time to make sure that the beans aren’t sticking to the pan. Add water as needed to keep beans moist. I also added crumbled bacon when the beans were close to being finished. Delish!

4. Once the beans are tender, serve alone or with salsa (recipe below). The salsa is REALLY good with the beans. S

Suffering From Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a chronic gastrointestinal disorder

Symptoms of IBS include

The cause of irritable boH1_L_760_427auto_intwel syndrome is currently unknown. It is thought to result from a combination of abnormal gastrointestinal (GI) tract movements, increased awareness of bodily functions and a disruption in the communication between the brain and the GI tract.

The problem of IBS seems to lie in how the nervous system communicates with the digestive tract.

How Yoga Can Help IBSthree_new_yoga_poses

Yoga can even help you prevent episodes altogether by making you aware of what makes your symptoms worse. From specific foods to caffeine, alcohol, or sleep deprivation, every IBS sufferer has triggers they can learn to avoid. Yoga is a perfect training ground for cultivating a heightened awareness of cause and effect in your body that carries over to choices off the yoga mat. With time, you will find yourself having stronger insights into what is healing, and what is harmful, to your body. You will find yourself wanting to do what is good for your body, and less attracted to what makes your symptoms worse.

Intolleranze-alimentariFood Intolerances

According to some alternative medicine practitioners, food intolerances may play a role in irritable bowel syndrome, possibly by triggering immune responses in the gut leading to low-grade inflammation and an imbalance of intestinal bacteria.

Although not scientifically proven, the most common food intolerances associated with irritable bowel syndrome are dairy, wheat and gluten

Other Foods that may trigger IBS are said to be  cruciferous vegetables ( cauliflower, kale, broccoli), and legumes (black beans, edamame, soy nuts).

Dietary fiber promotes proper colon function. Patients with constipation are much more likely to respond to dietary fiber than those with diarrhea. Increasing intake of dietary fiber from fruit and vegetable sources rather than cereal sources may offer more benefit to some individuals.

fiber foods ko.pngSUGGESTION:  Keep a diary of your IBS symptoms, noting what types of problems you have and how severe they are. In this journal, also jot down any stressful events you face in your day. Occasionally look back at your diary. If you see more IBS symptoms just before airplane flights or meetings with your boss, for instance, there may be a connection. Once you’ve detected situations that seem to trigger IBS symptoms, look for ways’like using the breathing technique above’to cope with them better.

Go easy on your intestines

  • Minimize fried foods, meats, oils, margarine, dairy foods, and other fatty foods. They cause your colon to contract violently, which can lead to diarrhea and abdominal pain.
  • Stay away from spicy foods. The capsaicin in hot peppers, for example, makes your large intestine go into spasms, which can cause diarrhea.
  • Cut down on caffeine. It can worsen IBS by irritating your intestines.
  • Avoid foods known to cause flatulence, including cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli.
  • Don’t chew gum or candy that contains artificial sweeteners. Among the common sweeteners in these products are sorbitol and mannitol, which can have a laxative effect. They’re very difficult to digest. When bacteria in your colon eventually break down these ‘nonabsorbed sugars,’ you get gas and diarrhea.
  •  Stop smoking. Nicotine contributes to IBS flare-ups. Also, when you smoke, you swallow air, and people with IBS are very sensitive to having air in their gut.

Drink tea

Every day, drink a cup or two of peppermint tea, which relaxes your intestines, reduces spasms, and relieves gas pain. Make sure to buy the kind that contains real peppermint, rather than black tea with peppermint flavoring. Alternatively, you can take enteric-coated peppermint-oil capsules. The coating ensures that the oil reaches the intestine instead of breaking down in the stomach. Take one or two capsules three times a day, between

Drink ginger tea. Ginger soothes all manner of digestive problems, including IBS. For the freshest tea, grate a half-teaspoon of ginger into a cup, then pour in hot water, let it steep for 10 minutes, strain out the ginger, and drink the tea. Ginger tea bags are also available. Drink four to six cups a day.

Therapy and Hypnosis for IBS

Researchers have found that focusing the mind with hypnotherapy can improve the emotional and physical symptoms in some who have IBS.self-hypnosis

In one study, 20 men and 55 women received between five and seven half-hour hypnotherapy sessions over a three-month period. Afterwards, patients reported a 30% improvement in emotional quality of life and a 16% increase in overall physical health.

Probiotics, Psyllium Powder, Peppermint Oil and Aloe vera have all been said to help reduce symptoms of IBS

Other Supplements may include:

  • MultiStart (age and gender specific multiple vitamin and mineral formulas).
  • Enriching Greens – a great tasting “greens drink” containing highly concentrated “greens” like chlorella, spirulina, wheat grass juice, barley grass juice, etc., and herbal extracts.
  • RxOmega-3 Factors – A true pharmaceutical grade fish oil supplement.
  • PGX with Mulberry Extract from Natural Factors. PGX is a special soluble fiber blend that is primarily used to help control after meal elevations in blood sugar. However, it is extremely useful as well as a gastrointestinal tract tonic in patients with IBS.
  • RevitalX is a high potency multi-nutrient powdered drink mix formula from Natural Factors.
  • Peppermint Oil Complex with Oregano Oil from Natural Factors provides volatile oils from peppermint, oregano, and caraway seed oil in an enteric-coated capsule so that it does not break down in the stomach but is instead delivered to the small and large intestine.
  • Probiotic supplements supplying Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacteria species are very important in IBS. Take a product that will provide 5-10 billion live bacteria daily.
  • Artichoke extract appears quite helpful in IBS. The evidence is provided by the results of several studies in patients with various digestive disorders including symptoms associated with IBS. Artichoke extract appears to be most helpful for abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, lack of appetite, and nausea.

The most important factor when it comes to your health, is that you must be your own advocate, and you need self empowerment to do just that.

What is Self Empowerment?

  • The right to make the decisions that impact your life – and the ability to take responsibility for them
  • Access to information, services and options so that you can make informed decisions
  • Taking control of your own life in order to affect positive change
  • Understanding that you are not alone and that you can make a difference
  • Learning new skills, improving self-image and continuing to grow as a person

Having said that always REMEMBER

Be Your Biggest Fan

The first step to physical and emotional health is empowerment – understanding that your mind and body are your responsibility.

If you don’t put yourself first – if you allow what happens externally to dictate your total body/mind health – no one else is going to stop that pattern.

Each person has his own burdens to bear.  Put down what isn’t truly important, take up the cause of your own well-being and let empowerment into your life.
